AI SEO & Content — rank on Google and get named by ChatGPT
This page shows you how to write content that gets your business found in two places: Google search results and the answers AI tools like ChatGPT give to people asking questions about your industry. This is the playbook we use for clients, in plain English.
- A website you can add pages to
- A short list of questions your customers ask you the most
- Patience. Real SEO takes 6 months minimum.
- Budget: $1,490/month for a starter package, or DIY with our tools
What's inside
1. Why getting named by AI matters now
When someone asks ChatGPT "which marketing agency is best for my bakery?", ChatGPT names three or four companies. Those names are the new top ranking. Getting named is called AEO (Answer Engine Optimization).
Getting named by AI is not the same as ranking on Google. AI rewards:
- Clear question-and-answer pages that an AI can pull a clean answer from.
- Real numbers and specifics. "Saved $47,000 in the second quarter" beats "saved a lot."
- Recent content. AI heavily ignores content more than a year old.
- Your own data. Studies, case results, named experts — things nobody else can copy.
2. Our three-part plan
5 to 8 long "pillar" pages (each 3,000 words) with 10 to 20 shorter supporting articles built around each pillar.
Every question your sales team hears, answered on its own URL. This is gold for AI tools.
Data and case studies AI tools cannot find anywhere else. You become the place they quote.
3. How we write each month
Month 1: plan it.
We research keywords. We look at what your competitors rank for. We design the topic map. We lay out a 90-day writing calendar.
Every week: ship new content.
2 long pillar articles and 4 supporting articles per week. AI writes the first draft. A human expert from your industry edits it. An editor polishes it.
Every new article links to 3 to 5 older ones.
This builds authority fast. Google and AI both reward tightly linked topic clusters.
Every quarter: deep site check.
Site speed. Page structure. Broken links. Search engine readability. We fix everything flagged.
4. Tools we use
- Ahrefs or Semrush — for keyword research and tracking which websites link to you.
- Content AI — the writer inside NWM CRM. Matches your brand voice. Generates question-based drafts.
- Blog — where drafts become scheduled posts. Internal links get added automatically.
- Landing Pages — one-page websites for specific campaigns, with the same search-friendly structure.
- Human editors — two on staff, each with 5+ years in business-to-business writing.
- ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude — we query these weekly to check if your site is being named.
5. How we measure results
Your monthly scorecard covers:
- Website visitors — total sessions, new visitors, engaged visits (from Google Analytics).
- Google rankings — how many of your target keywords sit in the top 10, and whether they're going up or down.
- AI mentions — we ask ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Claude 30-plus target questions every week. We track which of your URLs get named.
- Revenue impact — what percent of your sales-qualified leads touched an article before buying.
6. Pricing
- Starter — 4 articles per month, monthly reporting: $1,490/month
- Growth — 12 articles per month, weekly reporting, help getting other sites to link to yours: $3,490/month
- Scale — 24 articles per month, dedicated writer and strategist, quarterly deep audit: $6,990/month
7. What to expect, month by month
- Months 1 to 3 — foundation. A few new rankings appear. Traffic is flat to slightly up.
- Months 4 to 6 — compound growth begins. Traffic 2 to 4 times higher. First AI mentions appear.
- Months 7 to 12 — category authority. Traffic 5 to 10 times higher. Regular AI mentions. People start typing your brand name directly into Google.
If someone promises results in 30 days, they are lying or cheating with paid links that will get you banned by Google. Real SEO takes 6 months minimum. Plan for it.
What success looks like
- Within 90 days: 10 to 30 new articles live. First few keywords showing up in Google.
- Within 6 months: website traffic doubled or tripled. First AI tools naming your business.
- Within 12 months: a steady stream of inbound leads from organic search. Direct brand searches growing.
Common mistakes to avoid
- Publishing AI drafts without human editing. Google and AI both reward unique human insight. Skip the edit and your content blends in.
- Chasing keyword volume, not customer questions. Volume feels exciting. A page answering one question your buyer actually asks is worth ten volume chasers.
- Giving up at month 3. Month 3 is the dip. The compounding happens from month 4 on. Keep going.

Common questions
How much is AI vs. human?
The first draft is AI. Every word gets edited by a human expert. What ships is about 50/50.
Do you guarantee rankings?
No. And run from anyone who does. We guarantee quality and process. Rankings come from consistent execution over time.
Can you do this in Spanish?
Yes. About 40% of our work is both English and Spanish. Native Spanish editors on staff.
What about getting other sites to link to me?
Included on Growth and Scale plans. We do it through PR (podcast outreach, data stories, expert quotes). We never buy links. Buying links gets you banned.
