Write one handoff rule.

4. Train it and fence it in
The AI only answers from the content you gave it. If it does not know something, it says so and offers to get a human. You can add:
- Locked-in answers for prices, hours, and policies. It reads them back word for word.
- Blocked topics where the AI will not guess. Legal advice. Medical advice. Competitor bashing.
- Alert words like "refund", "cancel", or "manager" that instantly ping a human.
Always hard-code your current prices in the locked-in answers. AIs will invent numbers otherwise. That is the fastest way to lose trust.

Common mistakes to avoid
- Skipping the handoff rule. Without one, the AI will try to close deals it has no business closing.
- Letting prices live only on a PDF. Put prices in the locked-in answers. PDFs change. Locked-in answers do not.
- Ignoring the weekly "unanswered" list. That is where your next FAQ update comes from. Skip it and the AI plateaus.

Common questions
What does it do with questions it doesn't understand?
It politely declines and offers to connect the visitor with a human. You can edit the wording in Settings.
What about privacy laws (GDPR)?
Chats from EU visitors are stored in EU data centers. You pick how long to keep them — default is 90 days. "Delete all my data" is one click.
Can it speak Spanish?
Yes. Spanish, Portuguese, French, and German work out of the box. It picks the language from the visitor's browser.
Will it replace my sales team?
No. It makes them roughly five times more productive. The AI takes the first touch. Humans close the deal.
